Curriculum Approach
CCKG was founded with the stated object of providing a liberal arts education based on Christian principles. A liberal arts education has served worldwide for many hundreds of years as the curriculum approach for those seeking an all-round education for their children. We believe that this tried and trusted approach has not only stood the test of time, but remains the best one for our children as they face the challenges of the 21st century.

TRADITIONAL: While we always seek to be open to new insights and ideas that can help us improve the learning experience of your child, it is, nevertheless, always your child on whom our approach is centred. We do not, therefore, put your child’s education at risk by unthinkingly following the latest fashion or by adopting the most recent educational theory.

TEACHING: We are not afraid to teach your children and to develop in them the attitudes and abilities they need for learning. At CCKG, your children will play, explore, have fun, and enjoy many different experiences. These activities, however, will be teacher directed activities with the purpose of ensuring that your child acquires knowledge from them.

TRUTH: We believe that ‘all truth is God’s truth’. Our curriculum approach is unashamedly based on Christian principles. In addition to placing a high value on special times of worship and specific Bible lessons, we also seek to communicate Christian thinking and values throughout every aspect of the curriculum. As St Ambrose expressed it in the fourth century:
‘When we speak of wisdom, we are speaking about Christ. When we speak about virtue, we are speaking about Christ. When we speak about justice, we are speaking about Christ. When we are speaking about truth and life and redemption, we are speaking about Christ.’
Our name speaks of who we are and how we approach education.
